Description

The Dot: Interactive Flip Book Companion
by Peter H. Reynolds (Author and Illustrator)

September 15th-ish is International Dot Day!

I created this book companion for the love of the book! My husband first told me about the book because his school was celebrating International Dot Day. My sons hear me read it aloud to them and its so sweet to watch their excitement for the main character, Vashti.

★Use it after your class enjoys a class wide read aloud of the book, talk about how Vashti changes from the beginning to the end of the book.
★September 15th-ish is International Dot Day! Use the hash tags #DotDay and #MakeYourMark on social media and see what other schools, libraries, and bookstores are doing to celebrate (you can really use this activity any time during the school year).

★This activity promotes independent thinking, a student centered classroom, and differentiation.
★Creative coloring activity and unique pop up craftivity

Includes:
★cover activity
★Make your mark pledge
★Reading response questions (answer key)
★Vashti characterization organizer (answer key)

Appropriate for grades K-2, due to the appeal, I’ve seen it used in grades 3-4, too. Directions are clear and explicit.
